In Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of Ozel Tekirdag Yasam Hospital, under the tutelage of Op. Dr. Huseyin Anasiz; Coronary Bypass Surgery, Cardiac Valve Surgeries, Large Aortic Vascular Surgery, Leg Arteries and Varices Surgery, Carotis surgeries are successfully performed and patients are followed up before and after surgery in intensive care unit.

OPEN HEART SURGERY

Heart-Lung machine is used in open heart operations performed in our Ozel Tekirdag Yasam Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery clinic. During the operation, the heart and lung are stopped for a while. During this period, the cardiopulmonary machinery is responsible for the function of these organs. After the necessary operation is performed, these organs reinstate their functions by exiting the cardiopulmonary machine.

CORONARY BYPASS SURGERY

Coronary bypass operations usually involve three or more vascular interventions. The duration of the surgery is 4 hours on average, depending on the number of vessels to be bypassed and the number of additional procedures. The patient wakes up completely 4-6 hours after intensive care and is released from the respiratory support device.During coronary bypass surgery, the chest, arm vein and leg veins of the patient are routinely used.

CARDIAC VALVE OPERATIONS

“Mitral” and “Aort” valve operations are performed frequently in Ozel Tekirdag Yasam Hospital, Cardiovascular Surgery Department. The operations in in aortic valves due to the calcifications for advanced age are performed more frequently. Repair methods for the valve are preferred in patients with mitral valve. Mechanic caps are preferred for valve operations that still last longer. The same type of valves are used in advanced age patients whose general condition is good and life expectancy is long. Biological valves are used in young women who wish to give birth or in patients who are elderly and have difficulties in using blood thinner medicines.

MAJOR AORTA OPERATIONS

Endovascular Surgery or Endostent is preferred in major Aortic valve surgery. Stents with a diameter of 2-3 centimeters placed in the aorta, such as 1 millimeter stents placed in the heart veins, can be successfully placed in the thoracic and abdominal aorta.

ASCENDING AORTA ANEURYSMS OPERATION

The enlargement of the ascending aorta is a ballooning disease. The operation is recommended because of the high risk of dissection, rupture, aneurysms of 50 mm or more. Under general anesthesia, it is the replacement of artifical vein placement and the excision of the aneurysmatic vessel using cardiopulmonary machine.

LEG ARTERY AND VARICOSIS OPERATION

Among the vascular diseases the most common varicose vein is a vein disease and surgery is performed for patients who can not have sclerotherapy. Successful Bypass operations are performed in the abdominal aorta and leg arterial veins at Ozel Tekirdag Yasam Hospital Department of Vascular Surgery. Artificial vessels are used in these surgeries.
